Reminder: Selene Luna at the Dark Room @ Tue Oct 27 8pm – 9pm (Queer Things)

Selene Luna at the Dark Room

At 3'10", Selene Luna is a small package with a big presence. A comedienne, actress and burlesque star who has been praised by The New York Times as "a polished spitfire," Luna is bringing her new one-woman show, "I Don't Care Anymore" to San Francisco for one night only this fall.

Audiences will recognize Luna from Vh1s "The Cho Show," a performance that landed her a LOGO award nomination for emerging comedian. Luna was also recently featured in Lionsgate's 2009 release of "My Bloody Valentine 3D," where critics have hailed her performance as one of the films most memorable death scenes.

True to her cabaret roots, Luna has built a career performing in burlesque and comedy with the likes of prolific comedian Margaret Cho, drag queen superstar Jackie Beat and most recently comedy trailblazer Roseanne Barr. In "I Don't Care Anymore," Luna pushes the envelop through dark humor and camp weaving together a lifetime of adversity from her roots in Tijuana, Mexico to humorous tales of Hollywood that can only be told by a little person. "I Don't Care Anymore" is hilariously straightforward as Luna addresses topics most are too embarrassed to ask a little person.

Luna has carved a niche for herself as she breaks the stereotypes of little people in entertainment. She continues to bring her magnetic appeal to broader audiences and plans to shake things up in a big way!

NOTE: No one under 18 years old will be admitted.
