Circus Punk & Strip is our celebration of all those colorful, wild, avant garde elements that make this city so awesome. Nobody does it better. We are honored to have Dottie Lux, that amazing producer and performer join us as a co-host. She keeps this city kicking up it's heels and kicking off its dresses. But just in case you thought it is just going to be sexy, think again we've got a serious edge for you. And if we are all lucky, the 2nd issue of Whore! Magazine will also be available. Punk it and Strip!

Performers: The Secret Secretaries, Dottie Lux, Virginia Suicide, La Lady d'music, Dee Allen, Joyful Raven!!!!

Red Hots Burlesque has seen 6 years of successful shakes and shimmies in NYC and has been covered in The New York Times, on NBC, Current TV and Curve Magazine. They bring you a show with out boundaries including bizarre beauties and senseless sideshow. Not for the faint of heart or weak of humor. They have found their happy home at El Rio in San Francisco and as of Feb 2011 will be celebrating 3 years there!
Dottie Lux~ Brings a clown punk and performance art spirit to her work that is always delightful, often shocking and regularly touches the sublime. She makes the naked reveal an act of power and a statement of the best kind of beauty. She is also a proud professor teacher at the School of Shimmy.

Virginia Suicide: aka Flynn Witmeyer, is a filmmaker, actor, writer, and musician living in San Francisco. In 2007 he directed his first short film, Imp of Satan, which received media accolades for "saving queer horror film from the clutches of mediocre types hell-bent on tearing it down." (Flavorpill Magazine, September 2007). He recently directed the feature film Tweaker with an Axe, currently in post-production, for Synchronium Films. Flynn has appeared in over 20 theatrical stage productions and countless nightlife and performing arts exhibitions; from 2008-2009, his self-produced cabaret and variety show Pink Slip ran for 45 consecutive weeks and became lauded as one of SF Weekly's "Top Club Picks." He regularly performs live music and dance at numerous clubs throughout San Francisco, including Red Hots Burlesque (SF Bay-Guardian's "Hottest Happy Hour in the Bay," Fridays @ El Rio), The Hubba Hubba Revue (SF Weekly's "Best Burlesque Revue," Every 3rd Friday @ DNA Lounge) and Supperclub.

The Secret Secretaries~Formed in the summer of 2009. they write, love, play, commit crimes and conspire against the laws of maps and clocks in northbeach, soma, and the mission district. They also happen to be the most exciting band to hit the underground since Nick Cave went Platinum. Mixing poetry, pounding drums, thoughtful scratches of guitar and all the fervor and fury of philosophical radicals, this terrible trio have got a whole lot to say and you will dig every moment of it.
"The Secret Secretaries are dark souls wrapped in flowers and glitter." SF Gate
"The Secret Secretaries who incarnate everything and anything that a generation would want to look like and be." Alan Kaufman
"Shye Powers, Stellar Cassidy and Nic Burrose play punk styled "lit rock". Its loud, its in your face, its musically virtuosic, and their lyrics are pure poetry. And they all look really, really cool." Storming Bohemia

Dee Allen~This man has been challenging the world since he came out of that first gate. He is a goth anarchist, an old school DIY master and his poetry starts a revolution all by its self. He is punk indeed, and powerful. Be prepared to be inspired.

La Lady d'music~ This will be a wild and winsome surprise musical act that promises to stun and delight. Accordion anyone? Come just to see who our secret guest is.

Joyful Raven~ A former member of Rococo Risque, and a seen recently in The Pursuit of Happiness, Joyful has returned from the sunny land of LA to delight us with her comedic singing sass and style. Prepare to be stunned.
