more details » Signing: American Heroes Coming Out From Behind The Badge at A Different Light LGBT Police Officers, Firefighters, and EMS Professionals Tell Their Personal Coming Out Stories In A New Book! Greg Miraglia, author of the new book, American Heroes Coming Out From Behind The Badge, announced today the premier book signing event to be held on Saturday, February 19, 2011, at 3:00PM at the A Different Light Bookstore located at 489 Castro Street in San Francisco. This event will feature special appearances by three amazing members of the LGBT community who are currently working as a public safety professional. Police Sergeant Peter Thoshinsky, Paramedic Jessica McGinness, and Fire Captain Brett Dunckel will read parts of their own stories and will be available to answer questions about their experience coming out on the job. A book signing with all of the author will follow. American Heroes Coming Out From Behind The Badge is Greg Miraglia's second book telling the coming out stories of real public safety professionals from around the country. Mr. Miraglia told his own story in his first book, Coming out From Behind The Badge. "These books are intended to inspire those police officers, firefighters, and EMS Professionals who happen to be a closeted member of the LGBT community to come out and to start living their lives in the truth. Both books are ideal for anyone who wants an inside look into the lives of some amazing people who have demonstrate true courage above and beyond the call of duty" said Miraglia.
