Corvid College opening-of-Spring term Hoedown in Oakland

Corvid College is holding its opening-of-Spring term Hoedown on Monday March 26th, from 7-10 pm at the Royal NoneSuch Gallery in Oakland [4231 Telegraph]~

This is your chance to enjoy presentations on all of the upcoming Spring courses, meet students and teachers, hear about what Corvid College is and why we are dedicated to reuniting education and curiosity. Like Corvid College, this event is open to students of all ages and plus it's free, so bring your family, friends, and friends' friends as the more people we get involved in radical education the more expansive our classes and course offerings will be- So please forward widely!

Also, we will be having a sign-up for the Corvid College poster art contest, a "class I want to see taught" wish-list, and an introduction to our lecture series and film club. Beer will be served, so get there there early to grab one and have a chat with us!

You can find more info here: http://www.CorvidCollegeSF.com

Two queer classes will be offered this time plus the other courses are fun too.

1) The Works and Dreams of William S Burroughs

2) Queer Pedagogy: Queering Our Teaching, Queering our Learning

--
Corvid College is an experiment in education. Our goal is to fulfill the natural educative impulses and curiosities, which are neglected by conventional higher education, the entertainment industry, and consumer society. In place of bureaucracy we have conviviality, instead of tests we have experiments, we do not have grades but glasses full of wine, and instead of authoritarian models of learning we have anarchism in action. Without all of the obligations, expenses, and unnecessary paperwork that has turned collegiate education into hassle castle, Corvid is the new model for liberated education.
