On the one hand, legendary top-40 songwriter Desmond Child, his partner Curtis Shaw, their free-spirited baby surrogate Angela Whittaker, and their resulting twin boys Roman and Nyro make for an almost fantastic tale of luck and trust. On the other hand, it's the very ordinary moments of familial joy and sadness along this incredible 12-year journey that keep us engaged.
