At Magnet, your neighborhood queer health center, 4122 18th Street
between Castro and Collingwood in San Francisco.
Accessible Venue.

Our monthly open mic night, Smack Dab, is all ages, all genders, all
the time, and free.

If you'd like to perform at the open mic, please come beginning at
7:30pm and bring five minutes of whatever you want to share.
Musicians: one song. Prose writers: that's about two and a half double
spaced pages of prose. We're the friendliest open mic you'll find but
we pay attention to time.

Brent Calderwood is Literary Editor for A&U Magazine and author of The God of Longing (Sibling Rivalry Press, 2014). His poems have appeared in dozens of journals and anthologies including American Poetry Journal, The Gay & Lesbian Review Worldwide, and The Southern Poetry Anthology. About his debut poetry collection, poet D.A. Powell writes, “The jagged, mystical coast is haunted by Eros in Brent Calderwood’s meaty, eloquent poems; they are a true encounter with the flesh.” He lives in San Francisco.
