Book Release for Dear Dawn: Aileen Wuornos in her Own Words at El RioBetween 1989 and 1990, hitchhiking prostitute Aileen Wuornos shot and killed at least six men. Although she pleaded self-defense, she was sentenced to death. During her decade on Death Row, Wuornos wrote volumes of letters to her best friend from childhood, Dawn Botkins. This book represents Wuornos' own life, in her own words. Join us in celebrating both with readings and performances by: At El Rio, 3158 Mission St., San Francisco, CA
