The Lexington Club 3464 19th St., San Francisco, CA 7:15 - 8:15 pm, Oct 13,2012 The Lexington Club Hear a smattering of past and future Sister Spit road scholars in celebration of the new anthology Sister Spit: Rants, Writings + Reminiscence from the Road and the debut of Sister Spit Books, an imprint of City Lights. Hosted by Michelle Tea. Featuring Tamara Llosa-Sandor, Ben McCoy, Daniel Levesque, and DavEnd. Tamara Llosa-Sandor holds an MFA in creative writing from Columbia University. Her first book, As Filipino As Fruitcake, may or may not be published by 2018. DavEnd is a tender-hearted, genderqueer, costume designing, accordion-wielding songwriter, performing artist and designer whose current project, Fabulous Artistic Guys Get Overtly Traumatized Sometimes: The Musical!, brings together music and radical performance art. Daniel LéVesque, a/k/a El Lute, is an author, performer, and hairhopper. His novel, Hairdresser on Fire, was finished at Radar Productions annual LAB and is set for release at the end of 2012. Ben McCoy has toured the States and parts of Canada, has appeared in several short films, and currently writes for the Ironing Board Collective and City Lights online.
