She studies writing at Hunter College. She serves muffins abjectly in the lower east side. Her stories are very much about America, pop culture, fantasy and desire and how exact satire is often the truth. ROB HALPERN is the author of several books of poetry, including Rumored Place (Krupskaya 2004) and Disaster Suites (Palm Press 2009). With Taylor Brady he also co-authored the book length poem Snow Sensitive Skin (Atticus / Finch 2007). Music for Porn is coming soon! Currently, he's co-editing the poems of the late Frances Jaffer together with Kathleen Fraser, and translating the early essays of Georges Perec, the second of which, "Commitment or the Crisis of Language," recently appeared in the Review of Contemporary Fiction. An active participant in the Nonsite Collective, Rob lives in San Francisco. MAGGIE NELSON is most recently the author of three books of nonfiction: Bluets (Wave Books, 2009); The Red Parts: A Memoir (Free Press/Simon & Schuster, 2007; named a Notable Book of the Year by the State of Michigan), and Women, The New York School, and Other True Abstractions, a critical study about poetry and painting (University of Iowa Press, 2007; winner of the 2008 Susanne M. Glasscock Award for Interdisciplinary Scholarship). She is also the author of several books of poetry, including Something Bright, Then Holes (Soft Skull, 2007), and Jane: A Murder (Soft Skull, 2005; finalist for the PEN/Martha Albrand Award for the Art of the Memoir). Before moving to Los Angeles, Nelson lived in New York City for many years, teaching literature and writing at the Graduate Writing Program of the New School, Pratt Institute of Art, and Wesleyan University. A 2007 recipient of an Arts Writers grant from the Creative Capital/Andy Warhol Foundation for Visual Arts, Nelson has also written for Artforum, Bookforum, and other publications. In 2005 she joined the faculty of the School of Critical Studies at CalArts in Valencia, CA. Her next book will be a work of creative cultural and art criticism titled The Art of Cruelty, forthcoming from WW Norton. Working in the areas of sculpture, drawing and performance, MICHELLE ROLLMAN is an artist whose work has been shown in numerous exhibitions including Gallery Paule Anglim in San Francisco, Clementine Gallery in New York, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, New Langton Arts in San Francisco, and the New Orleans Center for Contemporary Art. Her work is in the collections of the New Museum in New York, and the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco. Her work has also appeared on the cover of Dodie Bellamy's "Cunt Ups," and in the anthology, "Biting the Error; Writers Explore Narrative" edited by Mary Burger, Robert Gluck, Camille Roy and Gail Scott.
