Gays vs. Queers panel discussion at SubMission Art Space

Gays vs. Queers. Part of the landmark panel discussion series on gender & nonviolence produced by UAV Art Collective, panelists will be discussing questions of identity and politics in the LGBT community. How has the language of identity in the LGBT community changed since Stonewall? How does that tie into political agendas? What political agendas are in play now? How important is a united front and for what? How can we work together to increase nonviolence in the community?

Panelists include: Ruth Mahaney, professor of Women's Studies, City
College of San Francisco, Tommi Avicolla Mecca, author of Smash the
Church, Smash the State: The Early Years of Gay Liberation, r and Mark
Daniel Snyder, founder of QueerToday.com with others
