DAVE END is an acoustic D.I.Y. troubador who writes Queer Cupcake Loving Honesty Pop and focuses on the details that rhyme. Tackling subject matters like bullying, homophobia, body image and heartbreak, Dave End could easily fall into the slippery traps of self-pity and earnestness, but he manages to keep his songs aloft with humor, bounce, and jamboree-style glee. In the past 3 years, Dave End has released 2 albums (How to Hold Your Own Hand, Fruits Commonly Mistaken For Vegetables), played over 250 shows, toured over 18,000 miles, wrote a thesis on American supermarkets, designed costumes, played in the band Gender Mountain, and joined a dance troupe. Most recently he wrote, composed and produced a reading of his new musical entitled "Fabulous Artistic Guys Get Overtly Traumatized Sometimes: The Musical!" He will be performing in Taylor Mac's five-hour Obie-winning play, The Lily's Revenge, at the Magic Theater in 2011.
