Rainbow World Fund presents The World Tree of Hope Celebration at City Hall

WHAT: Rainbow World Fund presents...

THE WORLD TREE OF HOPE CELEBRATION - A holiday tree decorated with thousands of white origami cranes, each containing written notes of hope & peace from children and individuals from around the world.

WHO: The tree dedication ceremony and party is a free event that begins with a concert at 5:30 pm by The San Francisco Boys Chorus. Remarks scheduled for 6:00 pm by Mayor Gavin Newsom.Donna Sachet will be the emcee. Rev. Nobuaki Hanaoka (an atomic bomb survivor) will deliver a message of hope. Other guests TBA. A party with light refreshments and drinks will continue until 8:00 pm. Singer Veronica Klaus and Comedian Marga Gomez will entertain at the party. Free food and beverages too!

WHEN: Wed. Dec. 15, 2010 • 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
(THE WORLD TREE OF HOPE will be on public view from December 1, 2010 – January 2, 2011.)
