Time Out New York Magazine has consistently placed Genecco's shows on their Top Ten lists and has hailed them as "critics picks" since first appearing in New York City in 2005. Genecco is a 2010 MAC* Award Nominee in the category of Major Artist, the 2009 MAC Award Winner for Outstanding Female Vocalist, the 2009 OutMusic Award Winner for Outstanding Cabaret Song/Artist; the 2008 MAC Award Winner for Outstanding Recording, and the 2007 Back Stage Bistro Award Winner for Outstanding Tribute Show. King's Blues Club, and Jazz @ Lincoln Center, opening for Grammy Winner Steve Tyrell at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in New Jersey, and as a headliner at The Peppermill Hotel & Casino in Reno and the Steamboat Landing & Resort in Upstate New York. Genecco also appears regularly in Hollywood, CA where she performs with the legendary Jack "Mr. Bongo" Costanzo, a frequent collaborator w/ Nat "King" Cole, Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, and The Fabulous Frances Faye, among many. Recent guest stars in Genecco's New York City shows have included "The Legend" Steve Rossi (of the comedy duo Allen & Rossi,) L.A.'s Mark Winkler, Emmy Winner Judy Gold, Grammy Winner Lew Soloff, The Marvelous Marilyn Maye, San Francisco's Mike Greensill, and Liza Minnelli's musical director and drummer, Michael Berkowitz. Genecco will be joined on stage at The Rrazz Room for this very special performance by her new musical director and Windham Hill Solo Recording Artist, Sean Harkness, on guitar.
