Our Family Coalition's Annual Night Out at Parc 55

What: Our Family Coalition's Annual Night Out

When: May 5, 2011, 6 - 9 PM

Where: Wyndham Parc 55 Hotel, 55 Cyril Magnin St., SF
Cyril Magnin Ballroom, 4th Floor

Event: Our Family Coalition will host its annual NIGHT OUT!, a festive evening in support and celebration of their work to promote the equity and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) families.

Honorees for the night include actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson for his inspiring work on ABC's Modern Family in the role of Mitchell, one half of a gay couple with a young child, and for his courageous work in support of marriage equality. Joining him will be filmmaker Johnny Symons who has directed and produced various feature length films to educate the public about LGBTQ families. The third honoree is Carolyn Laub, founder and Executive Director of the Gay-Straight Alliance Network. Carolyn is a brilliant activist who has changed the lives of hundreds of thousands of LGBTQ students throughout the United States.

Our Family Coalition promotes the equality and well-being of LGBTQ families with children. We foster community leadership in advocacy efforts that promote social justice by providing direct services to families, working with school communities and helping to change the laws and policies that discriminate against LGBTQ headed families. Our Family Coalition is the nation's largest locally based LGBTQ family organization, serving over 4,000 people at over 150 events and trainings. Funds raised from NIGHT OUT! will support their work building leadership of LGBTQ parents and their families, strengthening schools to make them safe and inclusive for all children, and ending discrimination and bias.

This inspiring and exciting event will include cocktails and wine courtesy of Grey Goose Vodka and Barefoot Wines, a delicious sit-down dinner, silent auction, and the hilarious comedian Marga Gomez as the master of ceremonies. More information can be found at http://www.ourfamily.org/nightout.
