Storyteller Bios: Karlyn Lotney created Fairy Butch, the popular sex educator and entertainer, during the early 1990s. Since then, he has helped an untold number of lesbians and others in the LGBT community to explore their sexuality through accurate information and humor—a powerful combination. A graduate with high honors of the UC at Berkeley, he has also completed trainings in sexuality, theatrical production and promotion, and computer technologies. Since 1995, Fairy Butch has produced and starred in his campy, erotic cabaret, In Bed With Fairy Butch. His advice and counsel is available in columns appearing regularly in Curve magazine and on the PlanetOut web site, and in his latest book, The Ultimate Guide to Strap on Sex. Fairy Butch is a superb master of ceremonies, having presided over hundreds of events of all sizes, including stages at San Francisco's Pride Parade and Dyke March.
