We found a winning sparkling brut rosé from Italy – and are building a night around it to coincide with Festa dell'Unità an Italian Communist gathering held in different towns during the summer. Join us for Ca'Vittoria, a sparkling brut rosé worthy of Gramsci,* + rosé, and red wines galore, including Gratta Wines Cabernet from the Bayview and the ever-pleasing 2009 Le Clos du Caillou Côtes du Rhône. If you think Italians in America deserve better than Columbus Day, or it you're just tired of the Tea Party, come cheer up on the patio of El Rio with pink and red wine. On Friday, September 7th, instead of Piadina the Italians (La Piada Randagia) will be serving a ragù (Bolognese sauce) over polenta with Parmesan - a traditional dish for Festa dell'Unità.
