RADAR Reading Series, a showcase of emerging and underground writers and artists

Award-winning author Michelle Tea hosts Chase Joynt, Susan Straight and Michael Warr. Chase Joynt is a Toronto-based filmmaker, performer and writer. He won the EP Canada Film Capital Award for Emerging Canadian Artist. His creative non-fiction has been published in FUSE, Shameless, Bodies that Matter, and Original Plumbing Magazines. Susan Straight's new novel, Between Heaven and Here, is the final book in the Rio Seco trilogy. Take One Candle Light a Room was named one of the best novels of 2010 by The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times and Kirkus. She has also been a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize and The National Book Award. Poet Michael Warr has won the Gwendolyn Brooks Significant Illinois Poets Award, A National Endowment of the Arts Creating Writing Fellowship, and the Ragdale Foundation US-Africa Fellowship. His books of poetry include The Armageddon of Funk, We Are All the Black Boy, and Power Lines: A Decade of Poetry From Chicago's Guild Complex.
