Our monthly open mic night, Smack Dab, is all ages, all genders, all the time. This month featuring Belo Cipriani and Jim Provenzano.

In observance of National Disability Awareness Month (October), the authors discuss the very different ways in which disability influences their writing, as memoir (Cipriani) and as fiction (Provenzano).

(Note: there will be no Smack Dab in November or December 2012 - we will return the 3rd Wednesday of January 2013)

Belo Cipriani is an award winning author and speaker and loves cold pizza in the morning. , He was awarded a fellowship in nonfiction by the Lambda Literary Foundation (2011), a writing fellowship at Yaddo (2012), and a writing residency at Holy Names University, Oakland CA, for the academic year of 2012/13. www.blindamemoir.com
