FAVIANNA RODRIGUEZ is a transnational interdisciplinary artist and cultural organizer that works for social change. Her art and collaborative projects deal with migration, global politics, economic disparity, patriarchy, and interdependence . Rodriguez lectures globally on the power of art, cultural organizing and technology to inspire social change, and she also leads art workshops at universities around the country. In 2011, she co-founded of CultureStrike, a national organization that works to engage artists in migrant rights. In 2009 she cofounded Presente.org, a national online organizing network dedicated to the political empowerment of Latino communities.

JACK HALBERSTAM writes and thinks about failure, gender queerness, fine coffee, utopia, swimming, art, injustice, the banality of evil, fog, greyness, wildness, inhumanity, posthumanity, penguins, animation, anarchy, good chocolate, bad TV, small things, fantastic mr. fox, rebellion and subcultures. Halberstam has published 5 books including The Queer Art of Failure (Duke UP, 2011) and Gaga Feminism: Sex, Gender and the End of Normal (Beacon Press, 2012).

GRACE KRILANOVICH'S debut novel The Orange Eats Creeps, published by Two Dollar Radio, was a finalist for the Indie Booksellers' Choice Award and the Believer Book Award, and was named one of Amazon's Top Ten Science Fiction/Fantasy Books of 2010. Grace is a MacDowell Colony fellow and was a National Book Foundation "5 Under 35" honoree for 2010.

D-L ALVAREZ is a visual artist working in various mediums, including fiction. His drawings and films are in the collections of the SF and NY MoMA and the Whitney, and recently the Berkeley Art Museum honored him with his first museum solo-exhibition.
