PRESENTING: MAGIC MAKERS - The Bay Area's Queer Art & Craft Fair: a showcase, celebration, and marketplace for queer artists
November 6, 2013, Oakland CA -- MAGIC MAKERS presents its first installment of a marketplace and showcase at the Temescal Arts Center (511 48th St, OAKLAND) on Saturday, November 23rd, 1PM-8PM. MAGIC MAKERS was born out of a desire to create a marketplace for Bay Area queer artists to have an opportunity to sell their work to their peers, gain exposure, and get the chance to support other queer artists.
MAGIC MAKERS is an intentional space of celebration of a queer art & crafting community, centered on political and social awareness, a diversity of artists and vendors, and resistance to cultural appropriation in craft show trends.
MAGIC MAKERS features over 25 artists, a healing space for massage and bodywork, food vendors, and beverages that embrace the spirit of the season.
