Featuring Cheeming Boey, Aya de Leon, Wonder Dave and Rotimi Agbabiaka!!
Cheemey Boey is an animator, artist, author, and TED Award recipient who is best known for his Sharpie drawings on foam coffee cups. For many years, he has entertained a loyal throng of readers through his diary blog, I Am Boey. His best-selling graphic novel, When I Was A Kid, is a hilarious and poignant memoir about growing up in Malaysia, a sort of prequel to his current daily blog.
Aya de Leon is a writer/performer working in poetry, fiction, and hip hop theater. Her work has received acclaim in the Village Voice, Washington Post, American Theatre Magazine, and has been featured on Def Poetry, in Essence Magazine, and various anthologies and journals. She is currently working on a sexy feminist heist novel and The Puffy Hair Project, a children's book for people whose hair defies gravity. Aya is the Director of June Jordan's Poetry for the People program, teaching poetry, spoken word, and hip hop at UC Berkeley. Wonder Dave is a writer and performer from Minneapolis, MN, now living in San Francisco, CA. He has toured the country performing at poetry venues, schools, cabarets, science fiction conventions, burlesque shows, and bowling alleys. Dave's poetry has been published in anthologies by Write Bloody and Lethe Press as well as in the Legendary, Orange Room Review, Breadcrumb Scabs, Pedestal, Shit Creek Review and Assaracus. Rotimi Agbabiaka is an actor slash singer slash dancer slash writer slash a bunch of other things. He lives in San Francisco and his exploits include musicals with the San Francisco Mime Troupe, drag at Club Something, and a brief appearance in an iPhone commercial. His solo play "Homeless" won Best Solo Performance at the San Francisco Fringe Festival.
