San Francisco, CA… Now in its 6th year, this monthly (every 3rd Thursday) multicultural comedy show features an eclectic mix of comedians. This month features improv as well. Produced/MC'ed by Kung Pao Kosher Comedy’s Lisa Geduldig.

This month’s comedians: Will Durst, Marga Gomez, Joe Nguyen, and Lisa Geduldig. AND The Bad Aunties improv group (Diane Amos, Debi Durst, and Judy Nihei).

Will Durst has been called, by The New York Times, "quite possibly the best political comedian working in the country today." Will writes a nationally syndicated humor column and is a frequent contributor on CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, and Current TV. Although receiving five Emmy nominations and seven consecutive nominations for the American Comedy Awards Stand Up of the Year, he's never won anything. Not even a toaster. His first book, “The All American Sport of Bipartisan Bashing” was taken from his hit Off-Broadway one-man show of the same name and another book was made out of his 2012 one-man show “Elect to Laugh” which ran for 41 weeks in San Francisco. Currently he is performing his tribute to Baby Boomers “From LSD to OMG.” His 800+ television appearances include: HBO, The Today Show, Letterman, Inside Politics, GMA, Showtime, Comedy Central and the CBS Morning News. Will has been fired by the San Francisco Examiner twice and by PBS three times and once ran for Mayor of San Francisco, spending $1200, pulling 2% of the vote: meaning on a dollar per vote basis, he is Mayor of San Francisco. Despite blistering reproach, he continues to squeeze ketchup on hot dogs. www.WillDurst.com

Marga Gomez is a GLAAD award winner and triple winner of the San Francisco Bay Guardian’s “Best of The Bay Comedian Award.” She is also one of the first openly lesbian comedians in the nation. Armistead Maupin has called her, "Astonishing!" Robin Williams has praised Marga as “a Lesbian Lenny Bruce.” Her stand up comedy has been featured on HBO, LOGO, Comedy Central, and PBS. She has appeared nationally and internationally in concert, at universities, pride festivals and numerous comedy festivals including San Francisco Sketchfest, Montreal’s Just For Laughs, London’s Hot August Fringe, and The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Marga is also the writer/performer of ten solo plays. Her latest work “Lovebirds” made its New York premiere in 2014 and will open September 19th through October 18th at the Marsh, Berkeley for a six week engagement. Marga teaches solo performance in San Francisco at Brava Theater, which named her a 2014 “Artist in Residence.” For more about Marga visit www.margagomez.com

The Bad Aunties improv group is comprised of Diane Amos (The Pine Sol Lady), Debi Durst, and Judi Nihei. As The Bad Aunties, they have over 100 years of improv experience between them. They've been together in different improv groups forever and as The Bad Aunties for a little over a year. They perform wherever they can worm their way in, from Weaverville to Cloverdale. Diane Amos is an actor with roots in improvis. The Indianapolis native/longtime San Franciscan carved out a career in movies, TV, comedic and dramatic stage work, stand up, and a long run as The Pine Sol Lady. Debi Durst began doing improv at a young age and has performed with practically every Bay Area improv group, including The Committee, Femprov, The Comedy Underground, The National Theater of the Deranged, and The Marsh Jam. Blessed with a background in legitimate theater, she has straddled both worlds, spending the last 30 years improvising in clubs and recently trodding the boards again. This summer she is playing the nurse in “Romeo & Juliet” with the Marin Shakespeare Company. She produces SF’s Comedy Day and The Big Fat Year End Kiss Off Comedy Show. Judi Nihei's life in improv began when she took a class from Jim Cranna at the Asian American Theatre Workshop. She went on to perform with Cranna and other improv artists in The Committee, The National Theatre of the Deranged, and The Dinosaurs of Improv. A native of San Francisco, she has been deeply involved in the development of Asian American theater.
Joe Nguyen is subtle but sharp, laid-back yet engaging. He’s the smart slacker beloved by audiences for his easygoing delivery and well-written jokes. Raised in the state of Georgia by immigrants of Vietnamese and Jewish descent, Joe was destined to become a stand up comedian. His unique perspective and likeable stage presence have made him a favorite at clubs, colleges, niche shows, and private events throughout the country. Joe is a regular at the Punch Line in San Francisco and Sacramento, Cobb’s in SF and Rooster T. Feathers in Sunnyvale. He won the 2009 Russian River Comedy Competition and has been featured on KOFY TV. Joe tours nationally with the Mahatma Moses Comedy Tour and was featured at Kung Pao Kosher Comedy.

Lisa Geduldig is a local comic and comedy producer who’s the creator, producer, and MC of a variety of comedy shows including Kung Pao Kosher Comedy™ (now in its 22nd year); Funny Girlz: A Smorgasbord of Women Comedians; The Color of Funny: A Multi-Cultural Comedy Show; and A Muslim, A Mormon, and A Jew Walk into A Bar: The Comedy of Religion.
