Proudly African & Transgender and Proudly Trans* in Turkey: Portraits by Gabrielle Le Roux in collaboration with Trans* & Intersex Activists at SF LGBT Centerhttp://qcc2.org/gabrielle-le-roux/ The Queer Cultural Center, the LGBT Community Center and San Francisco State University’s Department of Sociology and Sexuality Studies present: Opening Reception, October 22nd: 6pm Gabrielle Le Roux, a queer feminist South African artist and activist for social justice will exhibit her series of collaborative portraits of African and Turkish Trans* & Intersex Activists at the SF LGBT Community Center in San Francisco from October 22nd – November 2014. At the opening reception, Le Roux will discuss her journey and process of co-creating this series of portraits of trans* and intersex activists from Zimbabwe, Uganda, Kenya, South Africa, Namibia, Burundi, and Botswana. Le Roux will talk about the shared intention and combination of politics, creativity and interpersonal narrative used in the creation of this body of work. Also:
