Through this historic collaboration, Goodwill has hired 8 transgender job seekers for their new store. Please join us for the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting! Several months ago Goodwill and the Center were approached by City Supervisor Bevan Dufty and asked if we would be interested in opening a pop-up store in the Castro district where we would hire and train transgender community members. In collaboration with the Transgender Economic Empowerment Initiative and the Center Economic Development Department, Goodwill has received a generous in-kind donation of a retail space at 2278 Market Street at the former Tower Records. Come be a part of the nation's first store focused upon hiring transgender community members that face extreme barriers to employment. Please join us in celebrating this historic event!
