Lynnee Breedlove and Amos Mac at K'vetsh queer open mic at Eros

Sunday December 5, 2010 at 8pm

Eros gay man bathhouse
2051 Market St across from Safeway, San Francisco

Greetings, maggots and tikes and fannypacks...
for your listening and viewing pleasure we bring you another bathhouse living room show. We don't know about you, but we have a lot of casserole to account for. And attentive listening burns calories.

Our features:
Lynn Breedlove and Amos Mac!
...
Lynn Breedlove was a founding member and lead singer of Tribe 8.
Breedlove has performed spoken word on Sister Spit tours, and at the Michigan Womyn's Music Festival. Tribe 8 also played at the San Francisco Transgender March, multiple Ladyfests and LGBT Pride Festivals, including Europride 2000 in Rome. From 2000 to 2006, Breedlove co-hosted a monthly queer open mike in San Francisco called K'vetch along with Tara Jepsen. Breedlove MC'd the 3rd Annual SF Trans March in '07. In 2002, Breedlove's first novel, Godspeed was published by St. Martin's Press. Godspeed is now a short film, starring Breedlove as Jim, the antihero, Ad-Rock of the Beastie Boys as the dispatcher, and Jillian Lauren, aka Sparkle Diamonds of the LA burlesque troupe Velvet Hammer, as the stripper love interest. Starting in 2004, Breedlove created the comedy solo show Lynnee Breedlove's One Freak Show which has been touring the US, Canada, and Europe in 5 languages. A book version of the show was recently published by Manic D.

Amos Mac is a photographer, a writer and by default, a publisher. His photographic documentation of the queer community has been showcased internationally (Melbourne, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Portland) and published widely from the pages of Maximum Rock N Roll, NEXT, Lock Up Your Daughters, The/End, and documentary-based photographic annual, Cutter, to controversial portraits and interviews featured on BUTT magazine's blog. He guest lectures at universities on the subject of queer art and can be booked for future presentations through amos@originalplumbing.com. You can find Amos on tour across North America with Sister Spit in 2011. Check out amosmac.com to view his work and go to his blog to read about his latest exhibitions.

Hosted by your stern fishing and game commissioners Tara Jepsen and Kirk Read

This Sunday, December 5, 7:30 open mic sign-ups, 8:00 show. Always on time! Open mic people are welcome to present one piece of less than five minutes, or five minutes of a longer piece. Two pieces? No. Medleys? Check with Tara (Kirk can't be trusted to be firm because he enjoys a medley). BUT PROBABLY NOT. The admission is $3 to $5. We are comfortable saying that is an incredible deal. You must be 18 or over to regard the dong throng inside Eros. Eros is located at 2051 Market St. at 14th St. in San Francisco. There are a couple little coolers with non-alcoholic beverages for sale, including Fresca and Muscle Milk.

Love Tara and Kirk
