more details » LGBT Pride 2012: Community Not Commodity at the Women's Building This is the first of several meetings to gather LGBT and Allied activists from all quarters of the Bay Area to discuss a bold, creative and fun resistance to the commercialization and commodification of our community. Additionally, we will seek to tap the spirit of Glob...al Revolution and show our LGBT community members that the issues that ravage the rest of the world affect our communities too (police violence, foreclosures, job loss, etc.) This first meeting is going to be a forum for as many groups as we can possibly reach so we can come up with actions during Pride Week, particularly a parade presence, and possibly get into opportunities for autonomous actions we can all plug into. Please RSVP and share widely to your family, community members, tribes and allies, particularly those who are normally excluded from Pride events.
