Celebrate Bastille Day at Mugsy's Wine Bar at El RioVive la France! Celebrate Bastille Day at Mugsy's (Pop-up wine bar at El Rio, July 13 5:30-8:30pm) As you may well be aware, the French do wine pretty damn well. And to mark the ever-important beginning of the end (of the French Monarchy) Mugsy will offer a choice of stellar wines from France on the eve of Bastille Day. Cheap marketing ploy, or just an excuse to drink their wine? Doesn't really matter. Come out to the patio at El Rio and commemorate French revolutionaries storming the Bastille fortress & prison. Make the holiday your own in true California/Bernalandia fashion and toast your own "beginning to an end" of something. Either way, we're here for you. Friday, July 13th serving sparkling Blanc de Noir Cremant de Bourgnone, the ridiculously delicious and complex 2009 Cotes du Rhone from le Clos du Caillou and other wines to be announced soon. Keep yourself au courant at http://www.mugsywinebar.tumblr.com Finite batch of free oysters at 5:30. Other food TBA.
