Comedian Simon Amstell at Z Space

Simon Amstell, the British comedian who is performing his hilarious, witty, and surprisingly poignant show, NUMB, in San Francisco for only two nights at Z-Space on Nov 9 & 10.

Simon is best known in the UK for his hit BBC TV series "Grandma's House," as the host of "Never Mind the Buzzcocks," and as co-host of "Popworld." Simon's first comedy special, "Do Nothing," toured the UK to great success and recently premiered in the US on BBC America. This summer, Simon brought his new show, NUMB, from an acclaimed UK tour to New York City for a month-long residency.

Simon is new to America, but he already has a following among comedians and critics. Eddie Izzard calls Simon, "Fast and funny in mind and mouth." The New York Times said: "The British comic Simon Amstell has a gift for taking a social norm and gently mocking it until is seems utterly ridiculous."

Brooklyn Vegan recently wrote, "It's only a matter of time before Amstell becomes the next Ricky Gervais, Eddie Izzard, or Russell Brand so to catch his show at such an intimate space for such a reasonable ticket price is something for you to jump on, if only to one day have the vanity to declare 'Yeah I saw Amstell in a wicked small room back in the day.'"

Simon will be at Z Space on Nov 9 & 10 at 8pm. Doors open at 7:30pm.

Z Space is located at 450 Florida Street, San Francisco, CA 94110.
