I'm Not OK, Cupid plays atBeginning Friday, April 12, 2013, Left Coast Theatre Co. will present I'm Not OK, Cupid :(, a new collection of original, comedic, one-act LGBT-themed plays by Bay Area and national playwrights focusing on the trials and tribulations of relationships and dating in the millennium. LCTC is the only theatre company in the Bay Area to feature new, short works from the LGBT perspective. Their last production, Family Programming, had a very successful run in October and November of 2012 and garnered particular interest as one of the plays, James A. Martin's "The Buck Naked Church of Truth," dealt with the topic of public nudity in the city just as the Board of Supervisors began debating the subject. Consequently, coverage extended to all the local media and the Wall Street Journal. With I'm Not OK, Cupid :( LCTC will continue its support and nurturing of new and established playwrights and actors. Seven new works by authors from the Bay Area and across the country will be featured: I'm Not OK, Cupid :( will run Thursdays through Saturdays at the Shelton Theatre, 533 Sutter Street, San Francisco, CA, from April 12 to May 4, 2013. Full information can be found at the LCTC: Website: www.leftcoasttheatreco.org. tickets: http://lctc.brownpapertickets.com/ LCTC's mission is to develop and produce quality LGBT theatre featuring new works by local San Francisco Bay Area playwrights in order to promote diversity and encourage community involvement.
