Reminder: BUILT TO LAST LGBT Shelter benefit at Public Works @ Fri May 3 8pm - Sat May 4, 2013 2am (Queer Things)

BUILT TO LAST LGBT Shelter benefit at Public Works

BUILT TO LAST is to support Dolores Street Community Services. Dolores Street Community Services aims to build the first ever LGBT Homeless Shelter in San Francisco, but they are in need of $100,000 to complete construction.

Unfortunately, over 70% of transgender residents and over half of LGBT-identifying individuals report having experienced physical and verbal violence at the city's shelters because of their identity. With your support, we can raise and donate the remaining funds through this Gala and address this important community need.
Lets join together and make a lasting impact in the lives of hundreds of LGBT and transgender individuals who experience homelessness in San Francisco everyday.

How you can help:
1) Buy a ticket and attend the event. General Admission tickets are $50 and VIP are $100. The event is at Public Works which is located in the Mission at 161 Erie Street. This is across from the Armory.
2) Tell your friends, coworkers and family about the event and have them attend or donate.
3) Donate an item for the silent auction or ask a friend who owns a business to donate an item. We will be having a silent auction and the proceeds will support this project.
4) Write a check (payable to Reason to Party) to help this cause or donate on Eventbrite (link below).
All proceeds from this event will be donated to Dolores Street Community Services specifically for this project.
