In the 1960s he was active in the anti-war protest movement; a volunteer for Martin Luther King; and a student at the radical international Friends World Institute. He was in the fore of Gay Lib San Francisco culture as a poet and activist, and starred in the San Francisco Angels of Light, an underground free theater. He is a contributor to the Huffington Post, and Cleis Press will publish his anthology on LGBT and Intersex soon. Hormel Gay and Lesbian Center. Main Library Third Floor.
