more details » Colla Voce Benefit Concert is for Lambda Literary Foundation Beautiful Music to Raise LGBT Awareness & Support British Persuasion: Songs Crossing Time & Tide This concert will feature music from the British Isles from the 16th to the 20th centuries and will include great composers such as Purcell, Elgar, Vaughan-Williams, Gilbert & Sullivan, The Beatles, Elton John, and others. This Colla Voce Benefit Concert is for Lambda Literary Foundation which preserves, celebrates, and nurtures LGBT literature and encourages the development of emerging writers. This concert will also feature brief readings by local Lambda Literary authors. Saturday, January, 29, 2011 @ 7 PM At Old First Presbyterian Church 1751 Sacramento Street @ Van Ness San Francisco, CA 94109 $20/$17 for Old First Concert series subscribers Tickets are available online on the Colla Voce website http://collavoce.squarespace.com/2011-01-british-persuasion/ Concert Beneficiary and Supporting Colla Voce's Mission: Colla Voce is a gay men's vocal ensemble with extensive choral experience, a love of singing and a strong commitment to the community. 100% of concert ticket sales go to support a worthy community organization. "Colla voce" is an Italian music direction meaning "following the voice" and it signifies from whom the other instruments take their cues. Colla Voce is a proud member of GALA Choruses, the Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses (http://www.galachoruses.org). Colla Voce concerts benefit non-profit community organizations, and we are proud to support the Lambda Literary Foundation and its mission with this concert.
