Solo theater artist and juggler Sara Felder is moving her hit solo play, "Out of Sight," to the Marsh in Berkeley. "Out of Sight" tells the story of a nearly-blind, opera-loving mother and her questioning, juggling, lesbian daughter as they try to "see" each other around their different experiences of Israel. Felder uses circus tricks, shadow puppets and a Jewish queer sensibility as she attempts to balance family loyalty, social justice and the Middle East conflict.

"Felder's comic and emotional timing is as sharply honed as her manual dexterity." S. F. Chronicle

"An equally gifted solo performer, circus artist and writer, she has — as always — a funny and poignant autobiographical tale to tell. And under David O'Connor's fluid, perfectly paced direction, she tells it beautifully." San Francisco Examier

"Her humanistic message is again in a mutual embrace with local audiences." Bay Area Reporter

4 stars (highest rating) "You don't have to be Jewish or gay or a juggler to love this performer. We could not recommend her more highly." – San Francisco Theater Blog

Sara Felder's body of work, including radical solo circus theater and witty multi-actor plays, explores serious themes using forms that are comic, engaging and vaudevillian. As a professional juggler, Felder ran away with San Francisco's Pickle Family Circus, was a featured act in Joel Grey's Borscht Capades, toured Nicaragua and Cuba with the Women's Circus and Jugglers for Peace, performed at Jewish/Yiddish festivals all over the world, taught juggling at San Quentin and other prisons and was the opening act for Joan Rivers.
