In conjunction with his current exhibition, the discussion will include topics related to the artist's studio practice, his marriage of graphic design and fine art, the pitfalls of operating in this area, the discord between popular appeal and critical acclaim. For his current show, San Francisco artist Rex Ray has filled the gallery with his characteristic mix canvases and collage of unmistakable graphic power. Click here to see more from the exhibition. Ray's work has been featured in numerous exhibitions worldwide including The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, University Art Museum in Berkeley, San Jose Museum of Modern Art, The Crocker Museum in Sacramento, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, Museum of Contemporary Art Denver and Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions.
