Opportunistic Evictions: Gentrification, Displacements, and the High Cost of Living with HIV/AIDS at SF LGBT CenterA free community forum to explore the impacts of gentrification and displacement among people living with HIV/AIDS. ACT UP/San Francisco invites you to share your thoughts on and experiences with evictions, and to create community through resistance. Opportunistic Evictions will be an audience-driven discussion about how gentrification is driving up the cost of living with AIDS. Tommi Avicolli Mecca will introduce issues in San Francisco's current housing crisis and hone in on the implications on poz folks. From there our intention is for audience members to engage in dialogue and find ways to create robust communities of resistance around displacement and evictions. HAPPENING MONDAY APRIL 15, 7PM @ the LGBT Center on 1800 Market Street (Cafe Room)
