#Oakland: Loving Outside the Lines: The Transformative Potential of Being QueerLoving Outside the Lines: The Transformative Potential of Being Queer At Seminary of the Street and First Congregational Church of Oakland, we believe that "queerness"--the capacity to challenge the rules about who may love whom--can change the world. Join us for an inclusive and empowering workshop in which we'll explore the ways the dominant culture polices who may love whom and how that policing serves injustice and exploitation. Then we will celebrate and strengthen our God-given capacity as queer people, individually and collectively, to love outside the lines, in other words, to enter into solidarity with all suffering people everywhere. * claim our own wholeness and resist taking on the fear directed at us Thursday, June 24, 6-9pm Nichola Torbett
