Sassafrass Lowrey, editor of "Kicked Out," at MagnetSassafrass Lowrey, editor of "Kicked Out," an anthology of homeless queer youth, reads from her gutterpunk novel/memoir "Children of the Revolution." 8:30, free! Magnet Children of the Revolution is part memoir, part love letter to Portland Oregon's queer gutter punk world at the turn of the 21st century. Written by author, artist, and storyteller Sassafras Lowrey, this piece celebrates love and loss on the streets, punk houses, and in youth centers of the City of Roses as seen through the eyes of boy-dyke Click Patterdale (Lowrey's former self). Children of the Revolution is an intimate tri...p through underground lives, while reminding us that homeless youth birthed the modern "gay rights" movement, and continue to shape our culture in ways we are only beginning to understand. About Sassafras... Sassafras Lowrey is an internationally award-winning storyteller, author, artist, and educator.
