Also attending will be Sal Mineo's lover at the time of his death, Courtney Burr III. One of the hottest actors of the 1950s, Sal Mineo's life was cut short when he was murdered at the age of 37. This beautifully written, insightful, and engaging biography is about one of Hollywood's most fascinating, tragic, and complex stars. About the Author: Michael Gregg Michaud's work has appeared in numerous magazines and publications, including the Los Angeles Times. He is also a playwright, editor, artist, and award-winning photographer. - - - - - Books Inc. is a locally owned and operated independent bookstore with 10 locations in California. Books Inc.'s origins date back to the Gold Rush days of 1851, when Anton Roman struck it rich in Shasta City, California and set himself up in business selling books. That small bookstore was moved, bought, sold, burned, rebuilt and renamed, and became Books Inc. as we know it today in 1946. Today, with 10 stores and 200 employees, Books Inc. serves as a shining example that independent bookselling can survive and prosper, even if we must dance among the elephants. This event is FREE at Books Inc. 2275 Market St., San Francisco, CA 94114
