At Magnet, your neighborhood queer health center, 4122 18th Street
between Castro and Collingwood in San Francisco.

Our monthly open mic night, Smack Dab, is all ages, all genders, all
the time, and free.

If you'd like to perform at the open mic, please come beginning at
7:30pm and bring five minutes of whatever you want to share.
Musicians: one song. Prose writers: that's about two and a half double
spaced pages of prose. We're the friendliest open mic you'll find but
we pay attention to time.

Our April 16 feature is Blair Hansen

Bio:

Blair Hansen is a San Francisco based, internationally recognized,
award winning recording artist. Blair has shared the stage with Susan
Tedeschi, opened for Dar Williams and Girlyman, played to sold out
crowds at San Francisco's historic Fillmore, was a featured
performance artist at San Francisco Pride's Main Stage and South by
South West Austin Texas. Blair's music has been featured in movie and
documentary soundtracks, internationally recognized and released CD
Compilations, and in publications such as Curve Magazine, San
Francisco Chronicle Datebook Centerfold and Singer Magazine. Blair
continues composing award winning music for movies such as Hannah Free
starring Sharon Gless (of Queer as Folk and Cagney & Lacey). With his
3rd album "Real World" recently released, Blair won two 2009 OUT Music
Awards for his songs "Break Away" and "Real World" (Outstanding
Country/Folk Song and Humanitarian Songwriter of the Year).
