So, I'm just gonna say it, having Sonya Renee Taylor feature at this show has been one of my dreams ever since I stepped on as a curator back in 2009. 4 years later, it is now finally coming true! I cannot wait for her to grace our little stage and bring her inspiring work to us. This poet is one of the most electrifying artists in the country, and one of the very few people that I call a super hero. She is a super hero folks. I say this with my whole heart, cause she saved me one night, she did. If you want to hear the story, you better come to the show, cause I'll probably share it at the open mic.
