Queer feminist South African artist and activist Gabrielle Le Roux and Berkeley-based undocuqueer artist Julio Salgado in conversation about their art activism with LGBTQI communities.
Co-sponsored by Galería de la Raza, QCC and SF State University's Department of Sociology and Sexuality Studies.
The encounter between Le Roux and Salgado depicts an international snapshot of current socio-political realities, conflicts and complexities of LGBTQIA communities around the world and the role of the arts within this context. The public installation will be presented at Galeria de la Raza's Studio 24 from dusk to dawn beginning Wednesday, Oct. 22nd and ending Wednesday, Oct. 29th.
