Reminder: Queer radicals: Strategies for our movement @ Thu Jun 24 7pm - 8pm (Queer Things)

Queer radicals: Strategies for our movement

Celebrate LGBTIQ month with a panel of queer and transgender activists on how to build a militant movement for LGBT liberation. Jordon Johnson, Equality New Mexico; Tootles, Horizontal Alliance of Voraciously Organized Queers (HAVOQ); and Anita O'Shea, Radical Women organizer and community dj, will share organizing strategies and successes.

The multi-issue panel connects the fight against racism and class bias as they build links across movements for social and economic change. There will be ample time for discussion and questions, as well as sharing in ongoing efforts. As the Queer Movement continues to gain visibility and power both locally and nationally, the goal is to raise crucial questions around radicalism in this movement while addressing much needed reforms.

Prior to the meeting you are invited to share a full course dinner, with vegetarian option, a fundraiser for the organization, at 6:15pm for a $7.50 donation. Everyone welcome.

The meeting will be held at:
New Valencia Hall
625 Larkin Street, Ste. 202, San Francisco, CA 94109
(Five blocks from the Civic Center BART station, and on the #19 and #31 bus lines)
