Featuring:

Judy Grahn is an internationally known poet, writer, and social theorist. Her work underpins several movements, including Gay, Lesbian, and Queer; Feminist/Woman-Centered; and Women's Spirituality, but it has spread far beyond any of these. She currently serves as Associate Core Faculty for the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, California, in their Women's Spirituality Master's Program. She is former director of Women's Spirituality MA and Creative Inquiry MFA programs at New College of California, from which she resigned in July of 2007. Her work has won awards: an NEA Grant, an American Book Review award, an American Book Award, an American Library Award; a Lifetime Achievement Award (in Lesbian Letters), a Founding Foremothers of Women's Spirituality Award. Triangle Publishers feature a "Judy Grahn Nonfiction Award". Seattle Gay Day Parade of (199 was based on Judy's book, Another Mother Tongue: Gay Words, Gay Worlds. She co-edits (with Deborah J. Grenn) and writes for her online journal, Metaformia: A Journal of Menstruation and Culture, viewable at www.Metaformia.org

Peter Pizzi is a filmmaker, photographer and installation artist from Boston, MA. In 1999, he formed the production company Magic Club Productions. His work explores themes of sexuality, gender and identity. His recent directed short film titles include; Sucker, The Face of God and Dream of an ex-girlfriend. His work has been described as provocative, political and comical. He enjoys working with props such as, puppets, masks and his alter ego - Mr. Bunny. His films and artwork has been featured in Art Galleries and Film Festivals both nationally and internationally; including, The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA, The Directors Guild Theatre, Los Angeles, CA and The Anthology Film Archives, NYC. This Sunday, June 6th. 7:30 open mic sign-ups, 8:00 show. Always on time! Open mic people are welcome to present one piece of less than five minutes, or five minutes of a longer piece. Two pieces? No. Medleys? Check with me. BUT PROBABLY NOT. The admission is $3 to $5. We are comfortable saying that is an incredible deal. You must be 18 or over to regard the dong throng inside Eros. Please feel free to dress in a tiny white towel for the show. Eros is located at 2051 Market St. at 14th St. in San Francisco. There are a couple little coolers with non-alcoholic beverages for sale, including Fresca and Muscle Milk.
